Truly unique textiles
Beautiful things take time to make. Our items are made the old fashioned way, by hand. Hand woven sometimes with hand spun yarn. Natural dyes require multiple dying/drying steps which take weeks, months or even years to produce products with very unique textures and durable rich colors.
This is Gede on the island of Savu hand-spinning cotton yarn. For her this is more than a job, in Savunese culture the act of spinning yarn is more like a sacrament with the never-ending yarn connecting the world with the divine.
The Savunese motifs reflect the identity and heritage of the maker. True heirlooms and considered as such in Savu and elswhere.

Handmade Ikat, Helping People
All of our textiles are made by hand by real people using traditional techniques.
Each of our items comes with a story, a connection to the person who made it. They put a lot of care and love into each and every piece. Our goal is to connect the user and the maker and foster genuine appreciation.
This is Berta from Rote Island with a fresh batch of naturally dyed yarn ready to be strung on the loom and woven.
