Maumera Flores Ikat

Beautiful extra-long Ikat from Maumere area inthe Sikka Regency in Eastern Flores Indonesia. This was woven by the Sikka ethnic group and is an exemplary product of the area. Traditionally, the colors used by these weavers are blue and copper/orange colors. The Indigo blue is obtained from the leaves of the Indigo plant and the copper colors from the roots of Kebuka tree.
